If you like a fast paced, ever-changing routine, PCSF is looking for an individual to complete handyman maintenance duties, as well as, help with warehouse duties during high volume periods. PCSF is a warehouse manufacturing facility focusing on agricultural seeds.

We are on the hunt for a skilled and reliable handyman to join our maintenance department. You will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including maintaining green spaces, identifying the need for repairs, responding to clients’ maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment.

To be an effective handyman, you will be skilled and hard-working, with outstanding problem-solving abilities. Skillful hands, good physical stamina, and strong technical knowledge are important parts of the successful candidates’ talents.

Maintenance Responsibilities:

· Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs.

· Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances.

· Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.

· Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns.

· Respond to clients’ maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

· Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems.

· Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks.

· Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers on the company premises.

· Conduct performance assessments of company appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, ovens and coffee makers.

· Provide clients’ with support and guidance on maintaining their equipment.

This individual will inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair, troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs, plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed and performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.

In addition, during periods of high volume, this individual is expected to help in the warehouse where they receive, unpack, arrange and store goods, and gather, pack, prepare and load goods for dispatching. Warehouse workers check stock for damage and wear, report faults and discrepancies to relevant parties, and mark and label stock.

We are looking for an energetic warehouse worker to receive and dispatch merchandise to and from our warehouse. The warehouse worker will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. You will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to delivery area, and load merchandise. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles, and transport to and store in designated warehouse positions. You will keep your work environment clean and tidy at all times, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills.

Warehouse Worker Responsibilities:

· Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.

· Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

· Accepting delivery of inventory.

· Counting and confirming inventory.

· Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.

· Communicating errors to relevant parties.

· Marking and labeling stock.

· Storing inventory in accessible manner.

· Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.

· Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

· A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role.

· Solid experience with plumbing and electrical systems.

· Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.

· Extremely organized with good communication skills.

· Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.

· 18 years of age or older.

· Work experience as general laborer, preferably in warehouse.

· Ability to operate forklift proficiently.

· Completion of background investigation and drug screening.

· Strong people skills.

· Good moral character.

· Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.

· Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.

· Available to work extended hours.
